To make this casserole, I started by thinly slicing some russet potatoes with a mandoline slicer.
Then I sprayed a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish well with cooking spray.
I placed the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the casserole dish.
Then I broke apart some raw ground beef and sprinkled it on top of the potatoes.
I sprinkled some diced onions on top of the ground beef.
I sprinkled some uncooked long grain white rice on top of the diced onions.
Then I spooned some canned diced tomatoes on top of the rice.
I sprinkled some chopped celery on top of the diced tomatoes.
Then I dumped a can of condensed tomato soup into a mixing bowl.
I added some water to the bowl.
I also added some Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to the bowl.
I whisked all of the ingredients together well.
Then I poured the mixture over the ingredients in the casserole dish.
I covered the dish with aluminum foil.
Then I placed the dish in the oven and baked the casserole for an hour and forty minutes.
I removed the dish from the oven and lifted off the foil.
I let the casserole sit for about ten minutes to cool slightly and allow the liquid to thicken up.
Then I scooped and served the casserole.

- 1/2 tsp pepper
How to Make Shipwreck Casserole:
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Spay a 9 x 13 inch baking dish well with cooking spray.
- Place the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the baking dish.
- Break apart the raw ground beef and sprinkle it on top of the potatoes.
- Sprinkle the diced onions on top of the ground beef.
- Sprinkle the rice on top of the onions.
- Spoon the diced tomatoes on top of the rice.
- Sprinkle the chopped celery on top of the diced tomatoes.
- Dump the condensed tomato soup into a mixing bowl.
- Add the water, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to the bowl.
- Whisk all of the ingredients together well.
- Pour the soup mixture over the ingredients in the baking dish.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
- Place the dish in the oven and bake the casserole for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
- Remove the casserole from the oven and lift off the foil.
- Leave the casserole to sit for about 10 minutes to cool slightly and allow the liquid to thicken up.
- Scoop, serve and enjoy!
