I also added some salt and pepper.

I stirred well.

I left the sauce to simmer, stirring frequently, until it had thickened.

Then I added the cooked tortellini to the skillet.

I stirred until all of the tortellini was well coated in sauce.

Then I removed the skillet from the heat and added some shredded parmesan cheese.

I stirred until the cheese was melted.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make This Tortellini Alfredo:

  • 20 oz package refrigerated tortellini
  • 1/4 cup butter

  1. Cook the tortellini according to the directions on the package.
  2. Drain and set aside.
  3. Drop the butter into a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Once the butter is fully melted add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning to the skillet.
  5. Stir well and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the heavy cream, salt and pepper to the skillet.
  7. Stir well.
  8. Leave sauce to simmer, stirring frequently, until it has thickened. 5 – 8 minutes.
  9. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet.
  10. Stir until all of the tortellini is coated in sauce.
  11. Remove the skillet from the heat.
  12. Add the shredded parmesan cheese to the skillet and stir until it’s melted.
  13. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top if desired.
