Cherry Dump Cake

Dump 2 cans of cherry pie filling into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Dump a box of vanilla cake mix over the pie filling and spread it out evenly.

Pulverize some butter cookies in a blender or food processor until they reach a sandy consistency.

Sprinkle the butter cookie crumbs over the cake mix.

Combine some vanilla extract with melted butter. Pour the melted butter evenly over the ingredients in the baking dish.

Bake until cake is set in the center and nicely browned on top.

Allow to cool for about ten minutes before scooping.
