Hamburger Steak

1

Dump some lean ground beef and an egg into a mixing bowl.

2

Add some Ritz cracker crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, steak spice and onion powder to the mixing bowl.

3

Use your hands to fully combine all of the ingredients.

4

Divide the meat mixture into 4 evenly sized balls. Flatten the balls into oval shaped patties.

5

Heat a non stick saute pan over medium heat and add some butter to the pan.

6

Add some sliced onions to the pan and spread them out as evenly as possible.

7

Place the patties on top of the sliced onions and leave them to cook for 5 minutes.

8

After 5 minutes, flip the patties and leave them to cook for an additional 5 minutes.

9

Remove the patties from the pan and set them aside.

10

Add some flour to the pan. Stir the flour, butter and onions together well and let the flour cook for about 3 minutes until golden brown.

11

Add the beef broth, salt and pepper to the pan and whisk well.

12

When the gravy starts to boil return the beef patties to the pan. Spoon some gravy on top of the patties.

13

Place a lid on the pan and reduce the heat to low. Leave the gravy and patties to continue cooking, covered, for 12 minutes.

14

After 12 minutes remove the lid and sprinkle some chopped chives on top of the patties.

15

Serve and enjoy!
