Hash Brown  Potato Soup

Melt butter in a pot and add diced onions. Cook until the onions are translucent.

Add minced garlic and cook for about a minute. Add flour. Stir well and continue cooking for a few minutes.

Slowly pour in chicken broth while stirring continuously.

Add frozen hash brown potatoes and milk. Stir well.

Bring the soup to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.

Add crumbled bacon, salt and pepper to the pot and stir.

Remove the pot from the heat and add sour cream. Stir until the sour cream is fully incorporated into the soup.

Add shredded cheddar and stir until it's melted.

Serve with shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon and chopped onions for garnish.
