Oven Baked Chicken Parmesan

Butterfly and cut 2 large chicken breasts to create 4 thin chicken breasts.

Add flour, 1 tsp of salt, ½ tsp pepper, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, and 1 tsp paprika to a shallow bowl. Using a whisk or a fork, stir to combine.

In a second bowl, add 2 eggs and half and half. Using a whisk or a fork, stir to break up the yolks and mix the eggs and half and half together.

In a third shallow bowl, add the breadcrumbs, remaining salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and parmesan cheese. Using a whisk or a fork, stir to combine.

Place one of the chicken breasts into the flour mixture, making sure to coat the chicken breast fully.

Then, place the floured chicken breast into the egg mixture. Cover to fully coat.

Finally, place the chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture. Cover to fully coat.

Repeat the process with the remaining chicken breasts and place them all on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Spoon some marinara over the chicken breasts.

Place mozzarella slices on top.

Return to the oven until the cheese is fully melted. Top with basil leaves.
