Sausage Potato Casserole

Cook some Italian sausage meat and diced onions in a skillet until starting to brown.

Dump some cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning into a mixing bowl.

Whisk the ingredients together well and set the bowl aside.

Thinly slice some potatoes.

Place half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish and spread them out evenly.

Spread half of the soup mixture over the potatoes.

Sprinkle half of the cooked sausage and onions on top of the soup mixture.

Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top of the sausage.

Repeat the layers starting with the remaining potatoes, followed by the remaining soup, remaining sausage and cheese.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 50 minutes. After 50 minutes remove the foil.

Bake for an additional 15 minutes uncovered.

Sprinkle chopped green onions on top.
