Turkey Corn Chowder with Bacon

Dump some chopped bacon into a large soup pot over medium-high heat.

Cook the bacon until crispy and then use a slotted spoon to transfer it to a paper towel lined plate.

Add some butter and diced onions to the pot. Cook until the onions are translucent.

Add some all purpose flour to the pot and stir well. Continue cooking for a few minutes.

Then add some chicken broth to the pot. Whisk well until the liquid starts to thicken.

Add some cream, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning to the pot and whisk well again.

Add some frozen corn and stir.

Add the cooked bacon and some shredded turkey to the pot and stir.

Reduce the heat and leave the soup to simmer for 15 minutes. Then add some chopped green onions.
