Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Press Pillsbury chocolate chip cookie dough out evenly in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish.

Bake the cookie dough until it is starting to brown all across the top.

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add Kraft caramels to the melted butter.

Continue cooking and stirring frequently until the caramels are completely melted.

Pour the mixture evenly over the chocolate chip cookie crust in the baking dish. Place the dish in the fridge to set the caramel.

Melt butter and chocolate chips together in a saucepan.

Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the caramel layer.

Allow the chocolate to set and then slice into squares.
