FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I make Buffalo Chicken Pinwheels ahead of time?
- Yes. These pinwheels are perfect for making ahead. Prepare them up to 24 hours in advance, keep them tightly wrapped in the refrigerator, and slice them just before serving.
What type of chicken works best?
- You can use canned chicken, rotisserie chicken, or cooked and shredded chicken breast. Any fully cooked chicken will work well in this recipe.
Can I make these less spicy?
- Absolutely. Reduce the amount of buffalo sauce or use a mild buffalo sauce to tone down the heat while still keeping the flavor.
Do I have to use blue cheese?
- No. If you’re not a fan of blue cheese, simply leave it out or replace it with extra shredded cheddar cheese.
How long do Buffalo Chicken Pinwheels last?
- Store leftover pinwheels in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Why do the pinwheels need to chill before slicing?
- Chilling helps firm up the filling and makes the tortillas easier to slice into neat, uniform pinwheels.
