Ingredients
- 8 wieners
- 8 hot dog buns
- ¾ cup pizza sauce
- 6 oz pepperoni slices
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425F.
- Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and place all of the wieners on the baking sheet.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until the wieners are just starting to brown. 7-9 minutes.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
- Set aside ⅓ of the pepperoni slices to be used for topping.
- Use the remaining pepperoni slices to line the inside of each of the 8 hot dog buns.
- Spoon the pizza sauce over the pepperoni.
- Place the cooked wieners into the buns.
- Top with shredded mozzarella and the remaining pepperoni slices.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake the hot dogs until the cheese is fully melted. 4 - 6 minutes.
