  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • ½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon ( I used Kirkland bacon crumbles)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon onion powder
  • ⅓ cup BBQ sauce
  • 12 King’s Hawaiian rolls ( I used savoury butter flavoured )
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup crispy fried onions
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning

 Step by Step Instructions

 STEP 1: 

I dropped a pound of lean ground beef into a large skillet over medium high heat.

I added some diced onions to the skillet as well.

 STEP 2: 

I crumbled the ground beef well and continued cooking the ground beef and onions until the beef was fully browned.

I added some crumbled bacon, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder to the skillet.

I stirred until all of the ingredients were well combined and continued cooking for a few minutes to crisp up the bacon.

 STEP 4: 

I added some BBQ sauce to the skillet and stirred until all of the meat was well coated in sauce.

I removed the skillet from the heat and set it aside.

 STEP 5: 

I opened a package of King’s Hawaiian rolls and sliced horizontally through the center to separate the tops from the bottoms.

I placed the bottom buns on a parchment lined baking sheet.

 STEP 6: 

I sprinkled shredded cheddar cheese over the bottom buns.

Then I spooned the ground beef mixture evenly over top.

 STEP 7: 

I sprinkled more shredded cheddar over the beef.

Then I sprinkled crispy fried onions on top of the cheese.

 STEP 8: 

I placed the top of the buns on and then brushed them with melted butter.

I sprinkled some everything bagel seasoning over the buns.

 STEP 9: 

Place the baking sheet in the oven and cook the sliders for about 14 minutes to toast them up nicely.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.

  4. Continue cooking until the ground beef is fully browned.
  5. Add the crumbled bacon, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder to the skillet.
  6. Stir well and continue cooking for a few minutes to crisp up the bacon.
  7. Add the BBQ sauce to the skillet and stir well again. Remove the skillet from the heat and set it aside.
  8. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally to separate the tops from the bottoms but do not separate the individual rolls.
  9. Place the bottom buns on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  10. Sprinkle 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese over the bottom buns.
  11. Spoon the ground beef mixture evenly over the buns.
  12. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top.
  13. Sprinkle the crispy fried onions on top of the shredded cheese.
  14. Put the top buns on and then brush them with melted butter.
  15. Sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning on top of the buns.
  16. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the sliders until they are nicely toasted 11 - 14 minutes.
  17. Remove the sliders from the oven and cut them apart.
  18. Serve and enjoy!
