Step by Step Instructions
STEP 1:
To make these sliders I started by opening up a package of King’s Hawaiian rolls and removing them from the cardboard tray.
I set the tray aside to use for the next step.

STEP 2:
I dropped some ground pork into a mixing bowl.
I added some eggs and BBQ seasoning to the bowl with the pork.

STEP 3:
I combined the pork, eggs and seasoning well.
I added some Ritz cracker crumbs to the bowl and continued mixing until all of the ingredients were well combined.

STEP 4:
I dropped the ground pork mixture into the empy cardboard tray from the Hawaiian rolls.
I pressed the mixture out evenly in the tray.

STEP 5:
I used a knife to slice the pork into 12 equal squares.
Then I used a metal spatula to press two lines in each of the 12 squares to make the rib pattern.

STEP 6:
I transferred the 12 pork patties to a metal rack on a foil lined baking sheet.
I sprinkled more BBQ seasoning on top of the patties.

STEP 7:
I placed the baking sheet in the oven and baked the pork patties until they reached an internal temperature of 160F.

STEP 8:
While the pork patties were cooking I sliced the Hawaiian rolls open horizontally and placed them on a parchment lined baking sheet.
I brushed the tops of the Hawaiian rolls with melted butter.

STEP 9:
I brushed the cooked pork patties with some Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce.
Then I returned the patties to the oven.
I also placed the baking sheet with the Hawaiian rolls in the oven.
I baked the patties and the Hawaiian rolls for 5 minutes and then removed them both from the oven.

STEP 10:
I placed the pork patties on the buns and topped them with chopped onions and pickle slices.

Then the mini McRibs were ready to serve and enjoy!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I use ground beef instead of ground pork?
- Yes! Ground beef works well if you prefer it. You’ll still get that saucy BBQ flavour, but ground pork gives a slightly closer texture to the classic McRib.
Can I make these sliders ahead of time?
- You can cook the pork patties ahead of time and store them in the fridge. When ready to serve, reheat, assemble on the rolls, and toast for best results.
How do I store leftover McRib sliders?
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to keep the rolls from getting soggy.
What’s the best BBQ sauce to use?
- Sweet Baby Ray’s is a great choice for that classic sweet and smoky flavour, but you can use any BBQ sauce you love.
