Ingredients You’ll Need
- 1 lb ground chicken
- ½ tablespoon garlic powder
- ½ tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 4 x 6 inch flour tortillas ( I used whole wheat )
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- ¼ cup red onions, sliced
- 4 slices bacon, cooked
- ⅓ cup Caesar dressing
- ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese

Step by Step Instructions
STEP 1:
To make these smash tacos, I started by dropping some ground chicken into a mixing bowl.
I added some garlic powder and Italian seasoning to the bowl.


STEP 2:
I combined the ground chicken and spices well and then divided the mixture into 4 equal portions.

STEP 3:
I placed 4 flour tortillas on a cutting board and placed a portion of the ground chicken mixture on each one.
I spread the ground chicken out evenly over the tortillas almost all the way to the edges.


STEP 4:
I heated my griddle to medium heat and spread it with olive oil.
I placed the tortillas, ground chicken side down, on the heated skillet and used a spatula to press them down and get them good and smashed.
I left them to cook for 5 minutes.


STEP 5:
After 5 minutes the ground chicken was nicely browned and crispy.
I flipped the tortillas to cook the other side.
I cooked the tortilla side for about 4 minutes to get it browned and crispy.

STEP 6:
I transferred the cooked tacos to a cutting board.
I placed some chopped romaine lettuce on top.


STEP 7:
I sprinkled red onion slices over the lettuce and placed one strip of cooked bacon on top of each taco.


STEP 8:
I drizzled Caesar dressing over each taco and then topped them of with some shredded parmesan cheese.

Then the Chicken Caesar Smash Tacos were ready to fold and serve.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- ½ tablespoon garlic powder
- ½ tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 4 x 6 inch flour tortillas ( I used whole wheat )
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- ¼ cup red onions, sliced
- 4 slices bacon, cooked
- ⅓ cup Caesar dressing
- ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Start heating a large skillet or griddle to medium heat and spread it with some olive oil.
- Drop the ground chicken, garlic powder and Italian seasoning into a mixing bowl.
- Stir the ingredients together well and then divide the mixture into 4 equal portions.
- Lay out the tortillas on a flat surface and place one portion of the ground chicken mixture on each tortilla.
- Spread the ground chicken out into an even layer over the tortillas covering almost all of the tortilla but stopping a little bit before the edge.
- Drop the tortillas chicken side down onto the heated griddle or skillet. Depending on the size of your griddle you may have to cook them in batches. (I was able to do 2 at a time)
- Use a spatula or burger press to press down on each tortilla to get the chicken nice and smashed. Cook on this side for about 5 minutes until the chicken is browned and crispy.
- Flip the tortillas and press them down again. Cook for about 4 minutes on the tortilla side to get the tortilla browned and crispy.
- Transfer the cooked tacos to a cutting board or baking sheet with the chicken side up.
- Sprinkle chopped romaine lettuce on top of the chicken.
- Sprinkle sliced red onions over the lettuce.
- Place one cooked bacon slice on each taco.
- Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the tacos and then sprinkle with shredded parmesan cheese.
- Serve and enjoy! (I like to serve mine in handy taco stands to hold them together!)
