FAQS:

How should I store leftover hamburger soup?

Store any leftover soup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat you can microwave the soup in a microwave-safe container or reheat the soup over the stovetop. You may want to add in some liquid when warming it up to help thin out the soup. Liquid such as broth or water works well.

What substitutions could I make?

  • Ground Beef: You could use and ground meat such as turkey, chicken, pork or sausage.
  • Beef Broth: You could use chicken or vegetable broth instead if you prefer.
  • Tomato Sauce: Instead of plain tomato sauce you could use any tomato based pasta sauce.
  • Diced Tomatoes: You could use Rotel instead of plain diced tomatoes if you would like to add some heat to the dish.

What should I serve with Crock Pot Hamburger Soup?

Crock Pot Hamburger Soup is a hearty and satisfying dish that pairs well with a variety of sides. Here are some suggestions to complement the flavors of the soup:

  1. Crusty Bread or Dinner Rolls: Serve slices of crusty bread or warm dinner rolls on the side. The bread is perfect for soaking up the delicious broth and adds a delightful texture to each bite.
  2. Garlic Bread: Elevate your bread game by serving garlic bread alongside the soup. The garlic-infused buttery goodness will complement the savory flavors of the soup.
  3. Side Salad: Balance the meal with a crisp side salad. A simple green salad with fresh lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and a light vinaigrette can add a refreshing contrast to the warm and robust soup.
  4. Cheese and Herb Biscuits: Bake some cheesy biscuits with herbs and serve them as a delightful accompaniment. The cheesy goodness adds an extra layer of comfort to the meal.
  5. Vegetable Platter: Offer a colorful vegetable platter with dip as a lighter option. The crisp and fresh veggies provide a nice contrast to the warmth of the soup.

Remember to consider the preferences of your guests and tailor the sides accordingly. The goal is to create a well-rounded and satisfying dining experience.
