Step By Step Instructions
STEP 1:
I lined a baking sheet with parchment paper and placed fudge stripe cookies upside down in a single layer on the baking sheet.

STEP 2:
I used an electric mixer to cream together softened butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar and salt in a mixing bowl until fully combined.

STEP 3:
I placed the prepared frosting in a piping bag and piped it onto the top of each mini peanut butter cup.
I placed the peanut butter cups frosting side down on the fudge stripe cookies.
I pressed the peanut butter cups down to form a ring of frosting around the edges.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make Pilgrim Hat Cookies ahead of time?
- Yes! You can assemble these cookies a day or two ahead of time and store them in an airtight container in a cool place or in the refrigerator.
Can I use a different type of cookie?
- Yes. Any round chocolate-covered or chocolate-striped cookie with a similar size and shape can work as the brim of the pilgrim hat.
Can I freeze Pilgrim Hat Cookies?
- Freezing isn’t recommended because the cookies and candy can develop condensation as they thaw, which may affect their texture and appearance.
