Can I make Pilgrim Hat Cookies ahead of time?

  • Yes! You can assemble these cookies a day or two ahead of time and store them in an airtight container in a cool place or in the refrigerator.

Can I use a different type of cookie?

  • Yes. Any round chocolate-covered or chocolate-striped cookie with a similar size and shape can work as the brim of the pilgrim hat.

Can I freeze Pilgrim Hat Cookies?

  • Freezing isn’t recommended because the cookies and candy can develop condensation as they thaw, which may affect their texture and appearance.
