  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 12 Pillsbury ready to bake sugar cookies

 Step by Step Instructions for Making Halloween Sugar Cookie Brownies 

 STEP 1: 

To make these muffin tin Halloween brownies, I started by dropping some brown sugar into a mixing bowl.

I also added some melted butter, vanilla extract and salt.

I added two eggs to the bowl.

I stirred all of the ingredients together well.

 STEP 3: 

Then I added some yellow food colouring.

I stirred well.

 STEP 4: 

I added some red food colouring and stirred well again.

 STEP 5: 

I added some all purpose flour to the bowl.

I stirred until the flour was fully incorporated into the batter.

 STEP 6: 

I added some cocoa powder and stirred well again.

I added some dark chocolate chips to the bowl.

I stirred the chocolate chips into the batter.

 STEP 8: 

I scooped the batter into a 12 cup silicone muffin tin filling each cup about halfway with batter.

I placed the muffin tin in the oven and baked the brownies for about fifteen minutes until they were just starting to set.

Then I removed the muffin tin from the oven.

 STEP 10: 

I placed one unbaked Pillsbury Halloween sugar cookie on top of each brownie and pressed them down slightly so that they would stick well,

I returned the muffin tin to the oven for about twelve minutes to finish cooking the brownies and to bake the cookies.

I removed the muffin tin from the oven and left the brownies to cool for about ten minutes in the pan.

  6. Add the flour to the bowl and stir until it is fully incorporated into the batter.
  7. Add the cocoa powder to the bowl and stir well.
  8. You may have to add more red or yellow food colouring at this point to adjust the colour to your liking.
  9. Add the chocolate chips to the bowl and stir them into the batter.
  10. Scoop the batter into a 12 cup muffin tin filling each cup about halfway.
  11. Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake the brownies until they are starting to set up. 12 - 15 minutes.
  12. Remove the muffin tin from the oven and place one unbaked Pillbury sugar cookie on top of each brownie. Press the cookies down gently so that they will stick well to the top of the brownies.
  13. Return the muffin tin to the oven and continue baking until the brownies are fully set and the cookies are baked. About 12 minutes.
  14. Remove the muffin tin from the oven and all the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes.
  15. After 10 minutes you can pop the brownies out of the muffin tin.
  16. Serve and enjoy!
