To make this no bake cherry delight, I started by dumping some graham crumbs, brown sugar and melted butter into a mixing bowl.

I stirred the ingredients together well.

I dumped some granulated sugar, softened cream cheese and vanilla extract into a mixing bowl.

I used an electric mixer to cream the ingredients together until smooth.

I added some Cool Whip to the bowl.

I continued mixing at low speed until the Cool Whip was fully incorporated.

I spooned the cream cheese mixture over the graham base in the baking dish.

Then I spread the cream cheese mixture out evenly.

I poured two cans of cherry pie filling over the cream cheese mixture, covering it completely.

I covered the dish with plastic wrap and placed it in the refrigerator to set for four hours.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make This Cherry Delight:

  • 3 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is smooth and lump-free after mixing it with the sugar. It may look granulated because of the texture of the sugar, but not lumpy.
  • Be sure to press the crumbs firmly into the bottom of the dish. Otherwise it could fall apart when you try to serve it.
  • You can also use a spatula to fold in the whipped topping to make sure it doesn’t deflate when you mix it in.
  • Storage Instructions
    Refrigerator: Cover the dessert with plastic wrap and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days. The crust may get soggy after that.
    Freezer: Cover the dessert with plastic wrap AND foil and store in the freezer for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.
