Can I make Mummy Oreo Balls ahead of time?

  • Yes! These are a great make-ahead Halloween treat. Prepare them a day or two in advance and store them covered in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve.

How should I store Mummy Oreo Balls?

  • Store the Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Because the filling contains cream cheese, they should be kept refrigerated when you aren’t serving them.

Can I freeze Mummy Oreo Balls?

  • Yes. You can freeze the finished Oreo balls in a freezer-safe container, with parchment paper between layers, for up to 2 months. Thaw them in the refrigerator before serving.

What can I use instead of vanilla almond bark?

  • You can use white candy melts or another melting candy designed for dipping. White chocolate can also work, although it may be a little trickier to melt and coat smoothly.

Ingredients

  • 36 Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 24 ounces vanilla almond bark
  • Candy eyes (I used the smaller Wilton ones)

Instructions

    1. In your food processor, process the Oreo cookies to crumbs.
    2. Add the crumbs to a large bowl, and add the cream cheese. Fold the cookie crumbs and cream cheese together until well combined.
    3. Roll this mixture into about 1 inch balls and place on a parchment lined pan.
    4. Place the rolled Oreo balls into the refrigerator to chill for 2 hours.
    5. Next, melt about ¾ of the almond bark, by microwaving in a microwave safe bowl for 30 second increments, stirring well in between, until melted.
    6. Dip the Oreo balls into the almond bark, and let the excess drip off. Place them back onto the parchment lined sheet.
    7. Once all of the Oreo balls are dipped, melt the remaining almond bark, and pour it into a piping bag.
    8. Snip off just the tip of the piping bag and drizzle candy over the dipped Oreo balls. As you go, quickly add two candy eyes.
    9. Allow the candy to set and enjoy.
    10. Serve and enjoy!
