To make this crock pot pasta recipe, I started by dumping two pounds of lean ground beef into a large saute pan over medium-high heat.
I added some diced onions to the pan with the ground beef.
I crumbled the ground beef well as it cooked.
Once no pink remained, I drained the grease from the pan.
I dumped the cooked ground beef into the bottom of my crock pot.
Then I poured two jars of marinara sauce on top of the ground beef.
I added some water, Italian seasoning, garlic puree, salt and pepper to the pot.
I stirred all of the ingredients together well.
Then I placed the lid on the Crock Pot and turned it on low.
After 2 hours of cooking time, I removed the lid and stirred the contents well.
I broke some uncooked spaghetti noodles into thirds and added them to the pot.
I stirred until the noodles were mostly covered with the sauce.
Then I placed the lid back on the crock pot and left it to continue cooking on low.
After 3 hours of total cooking time, I removed the lid and stirred the contents well again.
Then I added some shredded parmesan and shredded mozzarella cheese to the pot.
I stirred just until the cheese was melted.
Then I sprinkled some more mozzarella cheese on top and didn’t stir.
I returned the lid to the crock pot and left it to continue cooking on low until the cheese on top was fully melted.
I sprinkled some chopped parsley on top right before serving.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make This Crock Pot Spaghetti:
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 cup diced onions
- 48 oz marinara sauce ( 2 x 24 oz jars)
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp garlic puree
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 12 oz spaghetti noodles, uncooked
- 1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Optional Garnish
- 1/2 tsp chopped parsley
How to Make Crock Pot Spaghetti:
- Dump the ground beef into a large saute pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the diced onions to the pan with the ground beef.
- Crumble the ground beef well as it cooks.
- Once no pink remains, drain the grease from the pan.
- Dump the cooked ground beef and onions into the bottom of a crock pot.
- Pour the marinara sauce on top of the ground beef.
- Add the water, Italian seasoning, garlic puree, salt and pepper to the crock pot.
- Stir all of the ingredients together well.
- Place lid on the crock pot and cook on LOW for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours remove the lid and stir the contents well.
- Break the spaghetti into thirds and add it to the pot.
- Stir until the noodles are mostly covered in sauce.
- Place the lid back on the crock pot and continue cooking on LOW for another hour.
- Then remove the lid from the pot and stir well again.
- Add the shredded parmesan and 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella to the pot.
- Stir just until the cheese is melted.
- Sprinkle the remaining cup of mozzarella cheese on top and do not stir.
- Return the lid to the pot and continue cooking on LOW until the cheese on top is completely melted. About 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle chopped parsley on top then serve.
