To make this grilled cheese casserole, I started by dumping some shredded chicken, diced dill pickles and crumbled bacon into a large mixing bowl.
Then I added some salt, pepper and ranch dressing to the bowl.
I stirred until all of the ingredients were fully combined.
Then I spread twelve slices of bread with margarine.
I cut all of the slices of bread in half.
Then I placed half of the bread pieces, margarine side down, in a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
I sprinkled some shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top of the bread.
Then I spoon the chicken mixture over the cheese and spread it out evenly.
I sprinkled some more shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top of the chicken mixture.
Then I placed the remaining bread slices, margarine side up, on top of the cheese.
I placed the dish in the oven and baked the casserole until the bread was golden brown on top.
I sliced and served the casserole immediately.
