To make this shepherd’s pie I started by browning some ground beef in a skillet along with some diced onions.

Once the the liquid was boiling I removed the pan from the heat and added some butter and herb flavoured instant mashed potato mix to the liquid.

I stirred well, added some margarine, and then continued stirring until the mashed potatoes were nice and smooth.
STEP 4:
Once the beef was fully cooked I spooned off the excess grease and then added some brown gravy mix and water to the pan.
I stirred the beef well until all of the meat was coated in gravy.
STEP 5:
Then I dumped the ground beef mixture into the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
I spread some canned corn over the beef.
STEP 6:
Then I spread the instant mashed potatoes over the corn.
STEP 7:
I placed the dish in the oven and cooked it until the potatoes were just starting to brown around the edges of the pan.
I removed the shepherd’s pie from the oven and allowed it to rest for a few minutes before serving.
