I returned the dish to the oven and continued baking for an additional twenty-five minutes.

I removed the bars from the oven and allowed them to cool completely.

  8. Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven. The lemon bars should be firm and lightly golden.
  9. Once the bars are cooked, let them cool completely.
