To make this macaroni dish, I started by browning some ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
I added some minced garlic and diced onions to the skillet and continued cooking until the onions were translucent.
I transferred the cooked ground beef to my Crock Pot.
I added some diced green bell peppers, water, pasta sauce, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to the pot.
I stirred all of the ingredients together.
Then I placed the lid on the Crock Pot and set it to cook on HIGH for 4 hours.
During the last hour of cooking time I added some elbow macaroni noodles to the pot.
I stirred well.
I returned the lid to the Crock Pot and continued cooking until the noodles had reached the desired texture.
Then the slow cooker goulash was ready to serve.
I scooped the goulash into serving bowls and sprinkled shredded cheddar cheese on top.
This hamburger macaroni is a kid friendly dinner recipe.
