 STEP 1:

To make this crock pot Salisbury steak, I started by dumping some lean ground beef into a large mixing bowl.

I added an egg, some onion soup mix and milk to the bowl.

 STEP 2:

Then I placed twenty Ritz crackers in a ziploc bag.

I used a rolling pin to crush the crackers.

 STEP 3:

Then I poured the cracker crumbs into the bowl with ground beef.

I used my hands to combine all of the ingredients well.

 STEP 4:

Then I divided the meat mixture into four evenly sized balls.

I flattened the balls into patties.

 STEP 5:

Then I added some olive oil to a large skillet pan over medium-high heat.

I placed the ground beef patties in the pan.

I cooked the patties until they were browned on the bottom.

Then I flipped them to brown the other side.

 STEP 6:

I sprayed the inside of my crock pot with cooking spray and then dumped some diced onions in the bottom.

I transferred the browned ground beef patties to the crock pot.

I placed the hamburger patties as spread out as possible but they were overlapping slightly.

 STEP 7:

Then I poured two cans of condensed cream of mushroom soup into a large mixing bowl.

I added some brown gravy mix to the bowl.

 STEP 8:

I also add some beef broth to the bowl.

Then I whisked all of the ingredients together well.

 STEP 9:

I poured the mixture over the ground beef patties in the crock pot.

Then I placed the lid on the crock pot and set it to cook on LOW.

After 4 hours of cooking I removed the lid from the crock pot.

 STEP 10:

I lifted the patties out of the pot and set them aside on a plate.

I stirred the sauce mixture in the crock pot well

Then I poured some water and cornstarch into a glass measuring cup.

I stirred until the cornstarch was fully dissolved.

Then I poured the cornstarch and water mixture into the crock pot to thicken the sauce.

I whisked the sauce mixture well.

 STEP 11:

Then I returned the ground beef patties to the pot and left the sauce to continue cooking and thickening for about 10 minutes with the lid off.
