To make these baked potatoes, I started by rinsing and scrubbing five large russet potatoes.
Then I poured a cup of water into the bottom of my Instant Pot.
I placed the trivet in the Instant Pot.
Then I pierced each potato 6-8 times with a fork and placed them on top of the trivet in the Instant Pot.
I placed the lid on the Instant Pot and turned the steam release valve to the sealing position.
I set the Instant Pot to pressure cook on High for 20 minutes.
When the Instant Pot finished cooking I allowed it to natural release for 8 minutes.
After 8 minutes I turned the steam release handle to the venting position to finish releasing the pressure manually.
Then I removed the lid.
I removed the potatoes from the pot and sliced them open.
These potatoes are delicious with just salt, pepper and butter.
Or if you prefer them more dressed up you can add shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, sour cream and chopped chives.
