I love Pillsbury crescent rolls and experiment with them in different recipes often, but this is the first time I used them for a dessert.

Pillsbury crescent rolls are always super handy to have in the fridge.

I usually keep at least a couple tubes on hand.

This dessert recipe is inspired by one of my favourite carnival treats, deep fried Mars bars, but these ones are baked.

I started by unrolling the Pillsbury crescent rolls and laying them out flat on the counter.

I placed a snack sized Mars bar in the center of the wide end of each crescent triangle and then rolled up the dough.

I folded in the ends of the dough to completely seal in the chocolate bars.

I baked the crescents for about fourteen minutes until they were starting to brown.

After removing the crescents from the oven I melted some semi sweet chocolate chips in the microwave and then drizzled the chocolate over the rolls.

To finish them off I sprinkled them with some Skor bits.

Nothing beats these delicious flaky rolls oozing with chocolate and caramel.

They are best enjoyed still warm from the oven.

This is the easiest dessert you will ever make!

These are the perfect treat for chocolate and caramel lovers.

There was a different Mars bar with almonds in the US, but it was discontinued in the early 2000โ€™s. It was relaunched later as Snickers Almond, but now included caramel. (The original did not have caramel). It was my favorite candy bar and I miss it!

I am in Canada and pretty much any store here that sells chocolate bars has them.
