To make this meatball stroganoff, I started by dropping some butter into a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Once the butter was melted, I added some diced onions and sliced mushrooms to the skillet.

I stirred the mushrooms and onions together well.

I continued cooking them until they started to brown.

Then I added some water to the skillet.

I also added some frozen meatballs to the skillet.

I added some uncooked egg noodles to the skillet and spread them out.

I brought the liquid to a boil and then placed a lid on the skillet.

I left the noodles to cook, stirring occasionally, for ten minutes.

After ten minutes, I removed the lid and stirred well.

I reduced the heat to medium-low.

I added some canned beef gravy and Heinz 57 sauce to the skillet.

I stirred well.

Then I returned the lid to the skillet and left it to continue cooking for five minutes.

After five minutes, I removed the skillet from the heat.

I added some sour cream, salt, pepper and chopped chives to the skillet.

I stirred until all of the ingredients were fully combined.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make This Meatball Stroganoff:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup diced yellow onions
  • 6 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 lb frozen meatballs
  • 4 cups egg noodles, uncooked
  • 10.5 oz canned beef gravy
  • 1/4 cup Heinz 57 sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon chopped chives

How to Make Meatball Stroganoff:

  1. Drop the butter into a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the diced onions and sliced mushrooms to the skillet and stir well.
  3. Continue cooking until the onions and mushrooms start to brown.
  4. Add the water and frozen meatballs to the skillet.
  5. Add the egg noodles to the skillet and spread them out as evenly as possible.
  6. Bring the liquid to a boil, then place a lid on the skillet and leave the noodles to cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
  7. After 10 minutes, remove the lid and stir well.
  8. Add the beef gravy and Heinz 57 sauce to the skillet and stir well.
  9. Return the lid to the skillet and leave to continue cooking for 5 minutes.
  10. After 5 minutes remove the skillet from the heat and add the sour cream, salt, pepper and chives.
  11. Stir well.
  12. Serve and enjoy!
