To make this meatball stroganoff, I started by dropping some butter into a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Once the butter was melted, I added some diced onions and sliced mushrooms to the skillet.
I stirred the mushrooms and onions together well.
I continued cooking them until they started to brown.
Then I added some water to the skillet.
I also added some frozen meatballs to the skillet.
I added some uncooked egg noodles to the skillet and spread them out.
I brought the liquid to a boil and then placed a lid on the skillet.
I left the noodles to cook, stirring occasionally, for ten minutes.
After ten minutes, I removed the lid and stirred well.
I reduced the heat to medium-low.
I added some canned beef gravy and Heinz 57 sauce to the skillet.
I stirred well.
Then I returned the lid to the skillet and left it to continue cooking for five minutes.
After five minutes, I removed the skillet from the heat.
I added some sour cream, salt, pepper and chopped chives to the skillet.
I stirred until all of the ingredients were fully combined.
Then the stroganoff was ready to serve.
