To make this Crock Pot chili, I started by draining some canned kidney beans and pouring them into a bowl.
I added some water to the bowl and left the beans to soak.
I dumped some ground beef into a large skillet.
I crumbled the ground beef well as it cooked.
Once the ground beef was fully cooked, I drained the grease from the pan.
I transferred the cooked ground beef to the Crock Pot.
Then I added some tomato sauce to the pot.
I stirred the ground beef and tomato sauce together.
I also added some brown sugar, lemon juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper to the pot.
Then I drained the water from the kidney beans and added them to the pot.
I stirred all of the ingredients together well.
Then I added some diced onions and green bell peppers to the pot.
I stirred again.
I placed the lid on the pot and cooked the chili on HIGH for 4 hours.
After 4 hours I removed the lid and stirred well.
I sprinkled some additional diced onions and bell peppers on top for garnish.
Then the slow cooker chili was ready to serve.
I scooped my chili into bowls.
Then I garnished the bowls of chili with some sour cream, shredded cheddar and diced bell peppers.
I served my chili with some corn chips.
