To make this slow cooker chicken dish, I started by pouring some chicken broth into my Crock Pot.

I also added some minced garlic, Italian seasoning and diced yellow onion.

I whisked all of the ingredients together.

I placed four boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a single layer in the slow cooker.

I dropped some small cubes of cream cheese on top of the chicken breasts.

I placed the lid on the slow cooker and set it to cook on LOW.

I left the chicken breasts to cook on LOW for 3 hours.

After 3 hours I used tongs to remove the chicken breasts from the Crock Pot and set them on a plate.

I added some heavy cream to the Crock Pot.

I also added some shredded parmesan cheese and some fresh chopped parsley to the pot.

I whisked until the cheese was melted.

I poured some water and cornstarch into a bowl.

I stirred until the cornstarch was dissolved in the water.

Then I poured the cornstarch slurry into the Crock Pot while whisking.

I returned the chicken breasts to the Crock Pot.

I returned the lid to the pot and continued cooking on LOW for one and a half hours.

Then I sprinkled some shredded mozzarella cheese and chopped parsley over the chicken breasts.

I returned the lid to the pot and continued cooking on LOW for thirty minutes to melt the cheese, bringing the total cooking time to five hours.

I turned the slow cooker off and left the chicken to cool slightly before serving to allow the sauce to thicken up.

Then the creamy garlic parmesan chicken was ready to serve.

I served my slow cooker parmesan garlic chicken with a side of Caesar salad.

  3. Drop the cubes of cream cheese on top of the chicken breasts.
  4. Place the lid on the Crock Pot and set it to LOW.
  5. Leave the chicken breasts to cook for 3 hours.
  6. After 3 hours use tongs to transfer the chicken breasts to a plate.
  7. Add the heavy cream, shredded parmesan and chopped parsley to the pot and whisk well.
  8. Pour the water and cornstarch into a small bowl. Stir until the cornstarch is fully dissolved.
  9. Pour the cornstarch slurry into the Crock Pot and whisk well.
  10. Return the chicken breasts to the pot. Place the lid back on and continue cooking for 1.5 hours on LOW.
  11. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and chopped parsley on top of the chicken breasts and continue cooking for 20 – 30 minutes to melt the cheese.
  12. Turn of the Crock Pot and allow the dish to rest for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken up.
