To make this Instant Pot ground beef and rice, I started by setting my Instant Pot to Saute Less for seven minutes.
Then I added a dab of margarine to the pot, followed by a pound of lean ground beef.
I crumbled the ground beef well as it cooked.
When the Instant Pot turned off the ground beef was still slightly pink.
I added some condensed beef broth and water to the pot.
Then I dumped in some salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder.
I poured in some long grain white rice.
I gently spread the rice out until it was all submerged in liquid but did not stir.
Then I added some condensed cream of mushroom soup, diced green peppers, diced onions and sliced mushrooms to the pot.
I placed the lid on the Instant Pot, turned the steam release handle to the sealing position and set the Instant Pot to Pressure Cook High for seven minutes.
When the Instant Pot was done cooking, I immediately turned the steam release handle to the venting position and performed a quick release.
Then I removed the lid.
I stirred the contents well.
Then I added some shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese to the pot.
I stirred just until the cheese was melted.
Then the cheesy ground beef and rice was ready to serve.
This hearty dish is packed with flavour.

I just made this tonight. It is so delicious. Taste just like a philly cheese steak sandwich, only without the bread. We used Ritz crackers on the side for a little crunch. I will definitely be making this again. Thank you for a truly tasty recipe.
