To make this pasta salad, I started by cooking some cavatappi noodles and then rinsing them with cold water to cool them down.
I dumped the cooled down noodles into a large mixing bowl.
Then I added some mayo, basil pesto, salt and pepper to the bowl.
I stirred until all of the noodles were coated in mayo.
Then I added some halved grape tomatoes, diced red onions, chopped salami and real bacon bits to the bowl.
I stirred until all of the ingredients were combined with the pasta.
Then I added some shredded Parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese to the bowl.
I stirred well again and then placed the pasta salad in the fridge to chill for a couple hours before serving.
This tasty pasta salad is packed with basil and garlic flavour from the pesto and the spice in the salami gives it a bit of a kick.
This Italian Pasta Salad is a great side dish for feeding a crowd!
