To make this mac and cheese, I started by pouring some uncooked cavatappi noodles into a large pot.
I added some water to the pot.
I also added some milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder to the pot.
I stirred all of the ingredients together well.
I placed the pot on the stove over high heat and brought the liquid to a boil, while stirring every couple minutes to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom.
Once the liquid was boiling, I reduced the heat to medium.
I continued cooking the pasta and stirring every couple minutes until the noodles were tender.
Then I added a can of condensed cheddar soup to the pot.
I stirred well.
I removed the pot from the heat and added some shredded cheddar, mozzarella and grated parmesan to the pot.
I stirred until the cheese was melted.
I placed 8 Ritz crackers in a Ziploc bag.
I used a rolling pin to crush the crackers.
I sprinkled the Ritz cracker crumbs on top of the mac and cheese.
I also sprinkled some grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley on top.
Then the stove top mac and cheese was ready to serve.
