To make this fried rice, I started by preparing some scrambled eggs.

I set the eggs aside.

Then I heated some sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Once the oil was hot I added some diced ham, frozen mixed vegetables and a packet of fried rice seasoning mix to the skillet.

I stirred well and continued cooking until the ham had some colour and the veggies were softened.

I added the scrambled eggs and some soy sauce to the skillet.

I stirred well and continued cooking for a few minutes to make sure the rice and scrambled eggs were hot.

I removed the skillet from the heat and sprinkled some chopped green onions on top.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make Ham Fried Rice:

  • 2 Tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cups ham, cubed
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 (0.74 ounce) packet fried rice seasoning mix
  • 4 cups rice, cooked and chilled
  • 4 large eggs, cooked scrambled

How to Make Ham Fried Rice:

  1. In a large skillet heat the sesame oil over medium high heat.
  2. Add in the cubed ham, frozen vegetables and seasoning mix and saute for 3-5 minutes or until the ham has some color and the vegetables begin to soften.
  3. Add in the rice and saute for another 5 minutes or until the rice begins to brown.
  4. Stir in the scrambled eggs and soy sauce and heat for another 2-3 minutes or until the eggs and rice are heated through.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sweet chili sauce, optional.
