To make these peanut butter bars, I started by lining a 9 x 9 in baking pan with parchment paper and spraying it with cooking spray.

I dumped some crunchy peanut butter into a large pot over medium heat.

I added some granulated sugar and white corn syrup to the pot.

I stirred all of the ingredients together well.

Once the mixture started to bubble I removed the pot from the heat.

I added some peanut butter baking chips to the pot.

I stirred until the baking chips were melted.

Then I added some Rice Krispies to the pot.

I stirred until all of the ingredients were fully combined.

I dumped the mixture into the parchment lined baking pan and pressed it out evenly.

I dumped some semi sweet chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl.

I added some butter to the bowl.

I microwaved the chocolate on HIGH for one minute.

Then I stirred until the chocolate chips were completely melted.

I poured the melted chocolate on top of the peanut butter mixture in the baking pan and spread it out evenly.

I left the peanut butter bars to set at room temperature for three hours.

Then I used the parchment paper to lift the bars from the pan.

I sliced the crunch bars into sixteen squares.

  9. Pour the semi-sweet chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl.
  10. Add the butter.
  11. Place the bowl in the microwave and cook on HIGH for 1 minute.
