To make these chocolate peanut butter treats, I started by dumping some butter and smooth peanut butter into a microwave safe bowl.
I microwaved the butter and peanut butter on HIGH for one minute.
Then I stirred them together until smooth.
I added some Rice Krispies to the bowl.
I stirred until all of the Rice Krispies were coated in the peanut butter mixture.
Then I added some powdered sugar to the bowl.
I stirred until all of the ingredients were fully combined.
Then I used a one and a half tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop the peanut butter mixture into balls and dropped them on a parchment lined baking sheet.
I placed the baking sheet in the freezer and left the peanut butter balls to chill for twenty minutes.
After twenty minutes, I poured some semisweet chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl.
I added some vegetable oil to the bowl.
Then I microwaved the chocolate chips on HIGH for one minute.
I removed the chocolate chips from the microwave and stirred them well.
The chocolate chips weren’t completely melted so I returned them to the microwave for an additional thirty seconds on HIGH.
I stirred the chocolate chips until they were completely melted.
I used a toothpick to dip each peanut butter ball in the melted chocolate.
After coating the balls in chocolate I sprinkled some crumbled Rice Krispies on top of them.
Then I placed the peanut butter balls in the refrigerator for three hours to set.
Then the chocolate peanut butter Rice Krispie balls were ready to serve.
