To make these cookies, I started by dumping some softened butter and cream cheese into a mixing bowl.
I creamed them together until smooth.
I added some vanilla extract and an egg to the bowl.
I mixed well again.
I added a box of butter pecan cake mix to the bowl.
I stirred until all of the ingredients were fully combined.
I added some butterscotch chips to the bowl.
I folded them into the cookie dough.
I scooped the cookie dough and formed it into one inch balls.
I dropped the balls into powdered sugar and rolled them around until they were coated.
I placed the dough balls on a parchment lined baking sheet.
I baked the cookies until they started to brown slightly around the edges.
I removed the baking sheet from the oven and left the cookies to cool on the pan for about five minutes.
Then I transferred the cookies to a wire rack to finish cooling.
