To make this chicken divan, I started by placing some precooked chopped chicken and some broccoli florets into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.

I sprinkled some shredded cheese on top of the chicken and broccoli.

I dumped some condensed cream of chicken soup and cheddar soup into a mixing bowl.

I also added some milk, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce to the bowl.

I whisked all of the ingredients together well.

Then I spooned the mixture over the chicken and broccoli in the baking dish.

I sprinkled some more shredded cheese on top.

I combined some Italian seasoned breadcrumbs and melted butter in a small bowl.

I sprinkled the breadcrumb mixture over the casserole.

Then I placed the dish in the oven and baked the casserole until the breadcrumbs were nicely browned.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make This Chicken Divan:

  • 2 Pounds Cooked Chicken Breast, shredded or diced
  • 2 (10oz) Packages Broccoli Florets, thawed
  • 1 ½ Cups Shredded Cheese, divided (I used Cheddar)
  • 1 (10.5oz) Can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 (10.5oz) Can Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • ½ Cup Milk (I used whole milk, but reduced fat is also ok)
  • ½ Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ Cup Italian-Seasoned Breadcrumbs
  • 3 Tablespoons Melted Butter, unsalted

How to Make Chicken Divan:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Place cooked chicken and broccoli in 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Top with 1 cup of cheese.
  4. In a small mixing bowl combine soups, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire. Mix well.
  5. Spoon soup mixture evenly over chicken and broccoli in baking dish.
  6. Top with remaining cheese.
  7. Use a fork to mix breadcrumbs and butter together.
  8. Sprinkle mixture over entire dish.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until breadcrumbs are golden.
  10. Serve on its own or over rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles.
