I sprayed a 9 x 13 inch baking dish well with cooking spray.

Then I transferred the potato mixture to the baking dish and spread it out evenly.

I poured some crushed cornflakes into a mixing bowl.

I added some melted butter to the bowl with the cornflakes and stirred well.

Then I sprinkled the cornflake mixture over the potatoes in the baking dish.

I covered the dish with aluminum foil.

I placed the dish in the oven and baked the casserole covered for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes I removed the foil and baked the casserole uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.

  11. Cover with aluminum foil, place in the oven and cook for 30 minutes, remove the aluminum foil and continue cooking for another 15 minutes.
