To make this Mexican fried rice, I started by draining and rinsing some canned black beans.

I added some minced garlic, minced jalapeno and diced onions to the skillet.

I seasoned the rice with salt and pepper and continued cooking for five minutes.

I garnished the rice with some fresh chopped cilantro.
