To make these sloppy joes, I started by adding some lean ground beef to a large skillet over medium-high heat along with a dab of olive oil.

I crumbled the ground beef well as it cooked.

I added some diced yellow onions to the skillet.

I stirred the diced onions and ground beef together well.

Once the ground beef was fully cooked, I reduced the heat to medium-low and drained the grease from the pan.

Then I added some ketchup to the skillet.

I also added some Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder and onions powder to the skillet.

I stirred all of the ingredients together well making sure all of the meat was coated in sauce.

Then I took a pack of 12 dinner rolls and sliced them open.

 

I placed the bottom buns on a parchment lined baking sheet.

I spooned the ground beef mixture evenly over the buns.

Then I sprinkled some shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the meat.

I placed the top buns over the cheese.

Then I melted some butter in the microwave.

I brushed the melted butter on top of the dinner rolls.

I sprinkled some Italian seasoning on top of the dinner rolls.

Then I covered the sliders with aluminum foil.

I placed the baking sheet in the oven and baked the sliders until the cheese was completely melted and the buns were nicely toasted.

Then I removed the pan from the oven and lifted the foil off the sliders.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make These Sloppy Joe Sliders:

  • 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 cup diced yellow onions

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 12 dinner rolls
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
How to Make Sloppy Joe Sliders:
  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a dab of butter, margarine or oil.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet.
  4. Crumble the ground beef well as it cooks.
  5. Add the diced onions to the skillet and stir well.
  6. Once the ground beef is fully cooked, reduce the heat to medium-low and drain the grease from the pan.
  7. Add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder and onion powder to the skillet with the cooked beef.
  8. Stir well until all of the ingredients are combined and all of the beef is coated in sauce.
  9. Slice the dinner rolls open and place the bottoms of the buns on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  10. Spoon the meat mixture onto the buns and spread it out evenly.
  11. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the ground beef.
  12. Place the tops of the buns over the cheese.
  13. Brush the melted butter on the tops of the buns.
  14. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning on top of the buns.
  15. Cover the sliders with aluminum foil.
  16. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until the cheese is fully melted and the buns are nicely toasted. 17 – 20 minutes.
  17. Remove the foil and serve the sliders immediately.

Can these be made early and kept in the fridge to be baked and served warm at an event?
