To make these Philly cheese steak sloppy joes, I started by dumping some lean ground beef into a large saute pan over medium-high heat.
I added some diced onions and diced green peppers to the pan.
I stirred and crumbled the ground beef well as it cooked.
Once the ground beef was fully cooked, I drained the grease from the pan.
Then I added some water, brown gravy mix, salt and pepper to the pan.
I stirred well and left the mixture to simmer and thicken for three minutes.
Then I reduced the heat to low while I prepared the buns.
I placed some Brioche buns in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Then I toasted the buns in the oven.
Once the buns were toasted, I removed the pan from the oven.
I removed the sloppy joe pan from the heat and added some shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese to the pan.
I stirred just until the cheese was melted.
Then I scooped the sloppy joe mixture on to the bottom buns.
Then I placed the top buns on the sandwiches and they were ready to serve.
These cheesy sloppy joes are packed with flavour.
