To make this spaghetti carbonara, I started by dicing some raw bacon.

I dumped the diced bacon into a large saute pan over medium heat.

I left the bacon to cook, stirring frequently.

I cooked the bacon until it was brown and crispy.

I removed the pan from the heat and added some garlic puree.

I stirred well and left the pan off the heat.

I cracked three room temperature eggs into a small mixing bowl and whisked them well.

Then I added some shredded Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper to the bowl with the beaten eggs.

I whisked well again.

Then I cooked some spaghetti noodles in a large pot of water.

Once the spaghetti was cooked, I reserved one cup of the pasta water and drained the rest.

I immediately transferred the hot spaghetti to the saute pan with the cooked bacon.

I added poured the egg mixture over the cooked spaghetti and then stirred well.

I slowly added some of the pasta water to the pan with the spaghetti, while stirring, until the desired consistency was reached.

Then I added some parley flakes to the pan.

I stirred until the parley flakes were evenly distributed throughout the spaghetti.

  • 6 slices of bacon, diced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic puree
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • ⅔ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes

  2. Leave the bacon to cook, stirring frequently, until it's brown and crispy.
  3. Once the bacon is cooked, remove the pan from the heat and add the garlic puree to the pan.
  4. Stir well and set the pan aside.
  5. Cook the spaghetti according to the directions on the package.
  6. While the pasta is cooking, crack the room temperature eggs into a mixing bowl and whisk well.
  7. Add the Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper to the bowl with the eggs and whisk again.
  8. When the spaghetti is finished cooking, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.
  9. Immediately dump the cooked spaghetti into the pan with the cooked bacon.
  10. Pour the egg mixture over the spaghetti and stir well.
  11. It is important to add the egg mixture to the spaghetti right away, because the heat from the spaghetti will cook the eggs.
  12. Add some of the reserved pasta water to the spaghetti while stirring, until the deserved consistency is reached.
  13. Add the parley to the pan and stir well again.
  14. Serve and enjoy!
