To make this sausage ziti, I started by cooking some ziti noodles according to the instructions on the package.
Then I drained the pasta and set it aside.
I also chopped eight pieces of marble string cheese into cubes.
Then I dumped a pound of Italian sausage meat into a large pot over medium-high heat.
I crumbled the sausage meat well as it cooked.
Once the sausage meat was almost completely cooked, I added some diced yellow onions to the pot.
I stirred well and continued cooking until the onions were translucent and the sausage meat was completely cooked.
Then I added some marinara sauce, water, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder to the pot.
I stirred until all of the ingredients were fully combined.
Then I added the cooked ziti noodles to the pot.
I stirred until all of the noodles were coated in sauce.
Then I added the cubes of string cheese to the pot.
I stirred just until the cubes of cheese were distributed evenly throughout the pasta.
Then I dumped the pasta into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
I sprinkled some shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pasta.
Then I placed the dish in the oven and baked the ziti until the cheese on top was completely melted and just starting to brown.
I removed the pasta from the oven and served it immediately.
