To make these nacho sloppy joes, I started by dumping some lean ground beef into a large saute pan over medium-high heat.
I crumbled the ground beef well as it cooked.
Once the ground beef was fully cooked, I drained the grease from the pan.
Then I added some water and taco seasoning to the pan.
I stirred until all of the meat was coated in the taco seasoning.
Then I added some Heinz chili sauce and mild chunky salsa to the pan.
I stirred well and reduced the heat to low.
Then I placed some large hamburger buns in a single layer on a baking sheet.
I placed the baking sheet in the oven and toasted the buns.
Once the buns were toasted, I added some shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese to the pan with the sloppy joe mixture.
I stirred until the cheese was melted.
Then I added some crumbled nacho chips to the pan.
I stirred the crumbled chips into the sloppy joe mixture.
I spooned the mixture onto the hamburger buns.
Then the sloppy joes were ready to serve.
These cheesy sloppy joes have a bit of a kick from the salsa and taco seasoning but are not overly spicy.
