To make these ground chicken sloppy joes, I started by dumping some extra lean ground chicken into a large saute pan over medium-high heat.
I added some diced onions to the pan with the ground chicken as it was cooking.
I crumbled the ground chicken well.
Once the ground chicken was completely cooked, I added some liquid honey, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic puree, salt and pepper to the pan.
I stirred well and then brought the liquid to a boil.
I combined some water and cornstarch in a glass measuring cup.
I added the water and cornstarch mixture to the pan with the sloppy joe mixture.
I stirred well and left the mixture to continue cooking and thickening for two minutes.
Then I reduced the heat to low.
I lay some Brioche buns in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Then I toasted the buns in the oven.
Once the buns were toasted, I scooped the chicken sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom buns.
Then I placed some mixed greens on top of the chicken.
Then I put on the top buns.
These honey garlic sloppy joes are the perfect mix of sweet and savoury.
