To make this fettuccine alfredo, I started by cooking a pound of fettuccine according to the directions on the package.

Then I drained the pasta and set it aside.

I chopped some boneless, skinless chicken breasts into approximately one inch chunks.

Then I placed the chicken breast chunks into a mixing bowl.

I added some Cajun seasoning to the bowl with the chicken breast chunks.

I stirred until all of the chicken breast chunks were coated in the seasoning.

Then I dumped the chicken breast chunks into a large saute pan over medium-high heat.

I cooked the chicken breast chunks for eight minutes, stirring occasionally to make sure they cooked evenly on all sides.

Then I added some butter and garlic puree to the pan.

I stirred until the butter was melted.

Then I added some heavy cream, salt and pepper to the pan.

I stirred well and brought the liquid to a boil.

Once the liquid was bowling I reduced the heat to medium-low and placed a lid on the pan.

I left the sauce to simmer for eight minutes, stirring occasionally.

After eight minutes I removed the lid and added the cooked fettuccine to the pan.

I stirred until all of the fettuccine was coated in sauce.

I left the dish to continue cooking for four minutes.

Then I added some shredded parmesan cheese to the pan.

I stirred until the cheese was melted.

Then I added some chopped chives to the pan.

I stirred well again.

Then the creamy fettuccine was ready to serve.

  10. Stir well and bring to a boil.
  11. Place a lid on the pan and reduce the heat to medium-low.
  12. Leave the sauce to simmer, stirring occasionally, for 8 minutes.
  13. After 8 minutes remove the lid and stir well.
  14. Add the cooked fettuccine to the pan.
  15. Stir until all of the fettuccine is coated in the sauce.
  16. Leave the pasta to continue cooking for 4 minutes.
  17. Add the shredded Parmesan to the pan and stir until the cheese is melted.
  18. Add the chopped chives to the pan and stir well again.
