To make this apple crumble, I started by dumping two cans of apple pie filling into a greased 9 inch square baking dish.
I spread the pie filling out evenly.
Then I poured some all purpose flour and quick oats into a large mixing bowl.
I added some brown sugar, salt and cinnamon to the bowl.
I also added some melted butter to the bowl.
Then I used a fork to combine all of the ingredients until a crumbly mixture formed.
Then I added some lemon zest, lime zest, lemon juice and lime juice to the bowl.
I used the fork to stir well again.
Then I sprinkled the crumble mixture on top of the apple pie filling in a baking dish.
I placed the dish in the oven and baked the crumble until the pie filling was bubbling and the topping was nicely browned.
Then I removed the dish from the oven and allowed the apple crumble to cool slightly before scooping and serving.
This dessert is best served warm.
