To make these chocolate peanut butter bars, I started by dumping some Ritz crackers into a large Ziploc bag.
I used a rolling pin to crush the crackers well.
Then I dumped some butter into a glass measuring cup.
I microwaved the butter on high for 30 seconds.
Then I poured the partially melted butter into a large mixing bowl.
I added some smooth peanut butter to the bowl with the butter.
I used an electric mixer to cream together the butter and peanut butter until smooth.
Then I added the Ritz cracker crumbs and some confectioner’s sugar to the bowl.
I continued mixing with the electric mixer until all of the ingredients were fully combined.
Then I scooped the mixture into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
I dumped some semi sweet chocolate chips into a glass measuring cup.
Then I added some peanut butter.
I microwaved the peanut butter and chocolate chips on high for 45 seconds and then stirred them well.
The chocolate chips weren’t completely melted so I returned the glass measuring cup to the microwave for an additional 30 seconds.
Then I stirred again until all of the chocolate chips were completely melted.
I poured the melted chocolate over the peanut butter mixture in the baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Then I placed the baking dish in the refrigerator and left the peanut butter bars to chill for two hours.
After two hours I removed the dish from the fridge and sliced the bars.
I cut the pan into 24 large squares but you could cut them smaller if you prefer.
These no bake chocolate peanut butter bars are a simple but decadent treat.
