To make these grilled cheese sliders, I started by slicing twelve dinner rolls in half horizontally.

I placed the top halves of the buns, cut side up on a cutting board.

Then I placed Swiss cheese slices over the buns.

I placed cheddar cheese slices on top of the Swiss slices.

I placed the bottom halves of the dinner rolls, cut side up on the cutting board.

I spread margarine on the buns.

Then I placed them, margarine side up on top of the cheese.

I covered the sliders with aluminum foil.

Then I placed the baking sheet in the oven.

After about ten minutes, I removed the foil to let the top buns brown up a bit.

I baked the sliders for twenty minutes total.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make These Grilled Cheese Sliders:

  • 12 brioche dinner rolls
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 9 slices Swiss cheese
  • 9 slices cheddar cheese

How to Make Grilled Cheese Sliders:

  1. Preheat oven to 375F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Slice the dinner rolls in half horizontally and place the top halves, cut side up on a cutting board.
  3. Spread 1/4 cup of the margarine on the cut side of the top buns.
  4. Place the buns, margarine side down, on the foil lined baking sheet and press them down gently to flatten them a bit.
  5. Place the Swiss cheese slices on the buns.
  6. Place the cheddar cheese slices on top of the Swiss slices.
  7. Spread the remaining 1/4 cup of margarine on the cut side of the bottom buns.
  8. Place the buns, margarine side up, on top of the sandwiches.
  9. Cover the sandwiches with aluminum foil.
  10. Place the sliders in the oven and bake for 10 minutes covered.
  11. Remove the foil and continue baking until cheese is fully melted and top buns are starting to brown. About 10 minutes.
  12. If top buns haven’t browned enough for you’re liking you could turn on the broiler for a minute.
  13. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allowed the sliders to rest for a couple minutes.
  14. Pull apart, serve and enjoy!
